David’s lifelong passion for music started with piano lessons at 4 years old. At 12, he started working as a fill-in church organist and pianist in Berlin Heights, Wakeman, and Milan, Ohio. Around the same time, he took an interest in learning rock music on guitar and began playing trumpet in school.

Whether accompanying the school musical, or performing with his high school rock band at festivals, bars and charity events, David has always jumped at opportunities to expand his skills and experience.

After high school, David worked summers and falls at Cedar Point where he performed well over a thousand shows on Piano, Guitar, and Organ.

David studied Jazz at Bowling Green State University in Ohio under the practiced hands of the late, great pianist Tad Weed. Tad’s guidance opened up worlds of music, and lessons that would lead to a lifetime of practice and study.

After school, David worked for Carnival Cruise Line as a Showband Pianist and Musical Director for 3 years. He reveled in the wide breadth of the musical challenge. CCL required him to enlist his music reading skills in a musical theatre format, his improvisational skills in a jazz setting, and his rock and pop aesthetic while performing with the showband.

Today, David teaches a variety of instruments with Fingerprint Music School, and performs with local musicians such as Lisa Fox Group, and his own group Salmon Bay Combo. Additionally, he tunes pianos, and is always working at expanding his musical expertise and skills. He has a passion for classic instruments and gear, and loves composing, recording, arranging, and performing.
